This year sees further development to our syndication service and after taking a long, hard look at what we can do to enhance the ownership experience for our clients we have asked Jason Persico to join the team to take on the day to day management of the syndicates.A lot of you will already be familiar with Jason either as an avid racing enthusiast or as a member of both the Easdon No: 1 and No: 4 racing syndicates who respectively race Geeza and the Towkay filly out of Yeah Nah.
Jason’s professional background is in the shipping industry and as a regional manager his impressive skill set includes marketing, logistics and communication.Jason was first introduced to racing by his father John, as early as 5 years old to watch his father’s horses race at Trentham.His first experience in racehorse ownership was as a part-owner of Le Maroochydore who won 2 races for Graham Pollock/Bill Jones.
We first meet Jason back in 2007 at the Carnival Sales just after Lance had bought Geeza, along with his father and two brothers Jason took a share in the Ishiguru gelding who has since won 4 races including the Group 3 Windsor Park Breeders’ Stakes and has been Listed placed twice.In 2009 Jason set up the bloodstock trading company Geeza Bloodstock and currently has two horses in partnership with his brother and father.His enthusiasm for the industry was highlighted by the hard work that he put in during the recent yearling sales; we certainly benefited from his logistical and time management skills.Jason’s passion for racing is second only to our own so we are thrilled that he has agreed to come on board.
His responsibilities will include all the usual duties required by a syndicate manager to take the stress out of ownership but the most important thing is that his schedule allows him the time to be able to offer a superior, content rich communication package with regular updates by phone and email including photos and short movies so that you can feel really involved.Rather than take away the contact that we currently have with you we want to enhance your experience and we will continue to be available for any queries that you may have.
