Easdon Lodge

Easdon Lodge’s prime position is hard to beat, with private access onto the Matamata Racing Club’s training facility which includes eight track surfaces, a swimming pool and a range of schooling fences.

The complex consists of 30 boxes surrounding the rectangular lawn, 10 colt boxes inside the American style barn, a ten-horse walker and a number of tie-up stalls for pre and post exercise care. In addition, 20 post and rail paddocks are available for horses who thrive on paddock training and also for the barn-trained horses to get some natural exercise and relaxing timeout from their boxes.

Although Easdon Lodge is situated on a busy section of State Highway 27 the shelter belt hedging helps to insulate the property providing a relaxing environment for the horses and a large, designated parking area there is plenty of room for clients to park and not have to worry about having to walk down muddy raceways before entering the stables.

Regular communication by phone and email is a priority and Lance enjoys chatting with owners about each horse’s programme and exchanging ideas on strategies depending upon the level of involvement that each client prefers.
